Leoncio (Leo) Caballero passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas on October 11, 2017.  He was born on August 17, 1926 in Ciego de Avila, Cuba and is preceded in death by his parents and sister.  He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Emilia Prado Caballero; son Eduardo Caballero and wife Isel, daughter Mary Arocha and husband Bernie, daughter Marta Krautz and husband Mike, and his cherished grandchildren Alex Arocha, Gabriella Caballero, Lauren Arocha, Eduardo Caballero, Michael Krautz and John Krautz.  He worked and retired from Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur, Texas. 

Leo enjoyed listening to Cuban music, dancing, the beach and spending time with his family.  Papi was the love of our lives and the delight of his many friends.  Greatly missed for his wit and charm, but especially his kindness and compassion.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from six o'clock to eight o'clock in the evening.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at eleven o'clock in the morning with reception to follow.  Both services and the reception will be held at Bradshaw Carter Memorial and Funeral Services, 1734 West Alabama St. in Houston. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6055 South Loop East, Houston, Tx 77087-1005.
