Susan and I were acquainted in high school but only became friends a few years before her passing.
Though our friendship was casual, when I spoke with Susan or ran into her, you’d think that we were close friends. Her warmth and sincerity was beautiful, not a quality one finds in everyone.
Susan was genuine, having no agenda but to be kind and inclusive to everyone. At one point I sought information for a family member regarding health issues with which Susan was familiar and she was surprisingly candid & so very generous in sharing her experiences. I admired her heart & loving soul.

I would like to express my deepest sorrow for the lost of your dear loved one. At such times many look to Gods word for comfort. Please take your Bible and look at what God promises for the future with regards to our dead loved ones. (John 5:28 & 29, , Acts 24:15) Yes, God really will defeat our enemy death forever. This will enable us to one day have the hope of seeing our dead loved ones again. I hope this message will be a source of comfort to you. For those who loved and cherished Susan, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine how difficult this time is for you. Our loving and kind creator, Jehovah God, offers comfort in the Bible.
Revelation 21:4 - God is going to do away with death, mourning, sorrow, and pain.

It was an honor and a joy to know Susan for at least 63 years. We were even debate partners at Westbury! We had many fun adventures over the years that I will never forget. It was a blessing for Susan when she met and married Ron, the love of her life (other than her beloved daughter Deborah of course). They formed a team based on love. She will me deeply missed by EVERYONE who knew her, especially her classmates at Westbury, where she was our ongoing leader and cheerleader. Susan was a light that will never burn out and her light shines on. Much love to the family, Lynn Roebuck

Susan Elaine (as I always called her) was one of a kind that loved everyone.

Susan, was a friend, a mentor, a leader, a Rebel and loved by all who knew her. She was a fighter to the end, something you learned to admire about her, but her calling from a Higher Being guided her home. I will miss her dearly. My sympathies to all of her family.

Susan was a wonderful friend and P.E.O. I first met her through my grandmother and mother through the P.E.O. sisterhood. She always remembered your family and events in your life and was a true friend in every sense of the word. She will be truly missed. A bright light has gone out in the world.
