I would like to express my deepest sorrow for the lost of your dear loved one. At such times many look to Gods word for comfort. Please take your Bible and look at what God promises for the future with regards to our dead loved ones. ( John 5:28 & 29, Axts 24:15) Yes, God really will defeat our enemy death forever. This will enable us to one day have the hope of seeing our dead loved ones again. I hope this message will be a source of comfort to you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact one of Jehovah's Witnesses or log on to our website at JW.org.
Sincerely,
JW

My heart aches for you, Jill and the Olund family to lose in death your precious loved one Howie, way too soon. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you beautiful scripture where our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18), wants you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 34:18
None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection.
Our precious savior, Jesus, promises us at John 6: 40; "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day".
And again at: John 5: 28; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..."
And also at John 11:23-25; "Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life." The one who exercises faith in me, even tho he dies, will come to life.
I pray that Jesus's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on resurrection day will carry you through the difficult days ahead and gradually replace your tears of grief with tears of joy as you reflect on your precious memories of happier times with Howie.
Job asked at Job 14:14; "If a man dies, can he live again?"
Job answers at Job 14:15; "You (Jehovah) will call and I will answer."
Just like Job, we can have confidence in the resurrection hope.

I pray you will find comfort reading the above scriptures in your personal Bible and to please watch this beautiful video (song 144) entitled "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODChildren/pub-pksn_24_VIDEO

To have touched so many lives and families in such a positive way is a wonderful example and an inspiration for all of us. I wish I could have met him. His legacy will continue to inspire and propel us forward. Of that I am sure. My prayers are for you all today and especially his family. Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted".

I have been Howie's realtor and friend since 2001. As I got to know him more through the years, I realized what a great guy and family man he was and also how smart and business savvy he was. I will miss him very much and send thoughts and prayers to all his family.
