Louise “Wease” Neuhaus, the daughter of Marie Louise Lester Smith and Howard F. Smith Jr., was born on November 10, 1923, and died peacefully at home on September 25, 2023 at the age of 99. A native Houstonian, she attended The Kinkaid School, The Madeira School in Virginia, and Smith College. In 1948, she married Ben Neuhaus and they enjoyed fifty-one years of marriage.
