ANDREW MICHAEL GRIMLAND

1964-2021

Andrew “Andy” Michael Grimland, 56, born in Houston, Texas passed away on October 27, 2021.  Andrew had two siblings, Joni Batson (who predeceased him) and Freddy Dale Grimland of Cypress, Texas.

Andrew attended Strake Jesuit College Prep, University of Texas -Austin (where he majored in Accounting and passed his CPA exam on the first try) and then earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law School.  He practiced law in Houston for 20+  years.

Andrew was an excellent athlete, avid fisherman, accomplished musician and ardent student of the Bible.

He is survived by his wife Lea Grimland nee Johnson, his son Grant Michael Grimland and his daughter Marlaina Garcia and husband Jonathan, all of Manvel, Texas.  He is further survived by his parents Dale Ray Grimland and Kleo Karalis Grimland as well as Joni’s daughter Kristina Ponce and husband Alberto and brother Freddy and wife Jerri, their children and grandchildren and numerous Aunts, Uncles, nephews, nieces and wonderful friends.

A celebration of Andy’s life will be held November 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Bradshaw-Carter Funeral Home, 1734 W. Alabama Street, Houston, TX 77098. Further details will be posted on their website .
