Alice Miller Lawrence passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas on June 25, 2017.  She was born on June 18, 1925 in Houston and is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John B. (Jack) Lawrence, and her parents Carter and Leone Miller.  She is survived by her sisters Anne Kruse of Houston and Ollie Kensinger, also of Houston; son Steve Lawrence, daughter-in-law Liz Lane, and grandson Thomas Lawrence of Richmond, Texas; son Alan Lawrence and daughter-in-law Anita Tucker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; son Ron Lawrence and daughter-in-law Betty Lawrence of Houston; granddaughter Jennifer Lewis and her husband Mickael Lewis of Marblehead, Massachusetts; great-grandson Ethan Lewis, also of Marblehead; grandson Alec Lawrence of Portland, Oregon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Alice lived a life of love and faith that touched many people who will remember her as a singularly caring woman.  She was very active in the Christian Science church.  Alice is greatly missed by beloved family and friends she leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited at half past one o’clock in the afternoon with a memorial service beginning at two o’clock on July 22, 2017 at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, 1734 W. Alabama Street in Houston.  A reception will follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
