Andrew George Igor Liniewski Bittson, 66, of Houston, Texas, passed away Monday July 24, 2017. He was born March 13, 1951, in New York City to Hazel Diva Flanagan Bittson and Anthony John Bittson. Andy is survived by his wife Helen Elizabeth Ringham Bittson and his daughter Elizabeth Gavin Bittson. Andy attended The Hotchkiss School (CT), Williams College (MA) with a degree in Geology and German, and the University of Arizona with a Masters in Geophysics. A retired geologist and geophysicist, he worked in the oil and gas industry with his last position at Devon Energy as a Manager of Integrated Geosciences. He was a member of the Houston Geological Society, The Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and The American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Andy was an avid traveler with a love of visiting new places with his family and friends. The family would like to thank Oncology Consultants, Houston Methodist, and Houston Hospice for all of their care. Andy will be truly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation with the family will be at ten o’clock in the morning on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services. A service honoring Andy’s life will begin at half past ten o’clock.  A reception to follow at the Briar Club of Houston.
