Andrew was born on March 10, 1932, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He spent his childhood there, graduated from C.E. Byrd High School, and then went on to attend a trade school for electronics. A third class yeoman, Andrew was also in the United States Naval Reserve for eight years. Having a knack for and interest in electronics, he started his own television repair shop in his home and he was also a photographer on the side. Andrew later moved to Houston to work for the RCA Service Company, where he started as a service technician, worked in sales, and later became service manager; he received quite a few honors from this career, including top salesman. During this time, Andrew continued working on television repairs in his home and he also served as a Harris County Reserve Deputy Sheriff for two years. After retiring from RCA, Andrew became a videographer for weddings, baptisms, and other events.

Andrew worshiped the Lord and was a devoted Greek Orthodox Christian. He served as an altar boy in the church when he was young, and he was also a member of AHEPA. Andrew loved his family and he was very passionate about videography and photography; that being said, he could always be found with a video camera in his hand as he truly enjoyed recording and capturing family memories for everyone to cherish. In addition, Andrew had a great love of music over the years and even installed speakers in almost every room of his house, including outside; he enjoyed recording and listening to music on reel-to-reel tapes, CDs, and everything in between. Much time was spent with his daughters on weekends going through the week’s Top 40 to record custom-made 8-track tapes of all of their favorite songs.

Andrew was a very devoted father and caring neighbor; after turning his backyard into a softball field, lights and all, he spent many years playing softball with his daughters and the neighborhood children. Andrew also loved being a Papou and was very proud, always capturing precious memories on video as he spent a great deal of time with his grandchildren; he started from documenting their births and continued with all of their birthdays and graduations. “Papou” also took great joy in hosting many birthday pool parties for his grandchildren, which always included his barbecued hotdogs and can of chili on the pit, followed by playing many sports in and out of the pool. In addition, it made Andrew very happy to carry on his dad’s tradition of throwing money and candy on New Year’s Day for his grandchildren to collect; that tradition has been passed down through many generations and now continues with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. Andrew really enjoyed people’s company as he hosted and participated in countless activities and events throughout his life with his family, friends, and neighbors.

Andrew’s family will cherish his legacy and all of the memories he has left behind. He is loved by many and will be truly missed and forever in our hearts!
