Betty Windham a long time resident of Houston, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2018. She was born in Gorman Texas to Roger and Nona Hobbs Wolfe. Her family lived in Tyler, Texas until the early 1940’s when they moved to Houston. After attending Mary Baldwin College and The University of Texas, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, she married Lynn Burke Windham on November 23, 1946. They raised three children, Lynn Burke Windham III, Ellen Windham Sullivan and Mandy Windham Wigginton. Betty loved spending weekends at their home in Galveston, traveling, playing bridge with her same foursome for 66 years and enjoying her family. She was active in various clubs and was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Burke, and is survived by her children Burke, Ellen and husband Ed, and Mandy also by her loving grandchildren and their spouses and children ; Jeffrey, Emmy, John Burke and Abby Wigginton, Meredith, Matt, Elle and Madeline Goss, Selden, Ross and Sayler Forrest, Elizabeth and Kory LI and Sarah Windham. The family would also like to thank her wonderful and loving caregivers Blanca Maulion, Rober Cantu, Angela Borja, Rosa Sandoval, Gracie Gonzales, Marty Cazares. We also want to thank Houston Hospice for their love and support.  A Memorial service will be held at The Hallmark, 4718 Hallmark Dr. Houston, Texas 77056 on Saturday February 3, 2018 at two o’clock in the afternoon.
