Christopher Charles Anthony, of Kingwood, Texas died Monday, May 4, 2020 at Memorial Hermann Hospital, of complications related to the Corona virus. He was 94.
Born is Boston, Massachusetts to Charles and Demetria Anthony, he was part of the “Greatest Generation” and served his country during WW2 as a US Marine, stationed on the island of Guam and fighting in Iwo Jima.
Following the military, he returned to Boston to attend Northeastern University, receiving his degree in chemical engineering. He spent his professional career working in risk management for the insurance underwriting industry as an expert in the field of petrochemicals.
He was a volunteer fireman in Old Bridge Township, New Jersey and served as the township fire commissioner for many years.
Christopher is survived by one daughter, Dona Lee Murphy and her husband Robert J. Murphy, Jr. and one grandson, Nicholas Charles Negron of Kingwood, Texas.
Funeral will be held on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Yoakum Boulevard, Houston, Texas. Burial will be at the Houston National Cemetery on May 14,2020. Visitors may not attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
