Edison T. Russell

On August 9, 2020, Edison T. Russell III of Houston, TX passed away at the age of 77.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Shelly (Dave), Matt (Michele), Michael (Azeneth); grandchildren: Miguel, Lucas, Marta, Eleanor, Gabriel, Sophia and Alex; brother, David (Cindy) as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Marta Jo Russell; brother, (Buster Russell); and his parents: Edison T. Russell Jr and Arlene Mae Russell.
Ed was born April 24, 1943 in Dallas, TX and went to Garland High School. He attended the University of New Mexico where he met his wife Marta and then they moved to Dallas following their studies. He and his brother took over their father’s business (Russell Corp) and had a long career in the apparel industry. He was also very involved at First United Methodist Church in Carrollton, TX and led Saturday night college and career gatherings at his house.
Memorial donations can be made to the botanical gardens in your city. Eddie loved planting flowers in his backyard and visited local gardens when he traveled. His love of nature and flowers brought him much joy.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Memorial City Health and Rehabilitation Center and Vantage Hospice for their care and compassion.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
