Eileen Rose Broeckelmann, beloved wife, mother, and friend passed away on October 7, 2021, at home at the age of 57. She lived a joyful life, filled with the love and adoration of friends and family alike.
Born in Pawnee, Illinois to parents William and Marcella Williams on November 20, 1963, Eileen was one of ten children and never forgot her life on the farm even after moving to Houston over 30 years ago. She fell in love and married David Joseph Broeckelmann on July 21, 1990, in St. Louis, Missouri and together they have four children. David and her children were the love of Eileen’s life.
In addition to her mother, Eileen is survived by her husband, David Broeckelmann and his parents, Russell and Barbara Broeckelmann; her children, Nicole Broeckelmann and her wife, Marcela Varela-Sisley, Ryan Broeckelmann, Kevin Broeckelmann and Christina Broeckelmann; siblings, Michael Williams, Joyce (Thomas) Leahy, Maureen Williams, John (Valerie) Williams, Madonna (Lynn) Strawn, Patty (Kris Wessel) Williams and Lisa (Matthew) Schrage, and numerous beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, William D. Williams, brothers Kevin Williams and Matthew Williams and nephews Shayne Williams and Jacob Schrage.
Eileen was a graduate of Pawnee High School and St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield, Illinois. She started her nursing career at the age of 21 in Illinois. In Houston, she was a nurse at St. Vincent de Paul for many years, where she was an active volunteer and participant in the family guild. Most recently, she worked as a psychiatric nurse at the Menninger Clinic.
Eileen was happiest when taking care of others through her cooking, hospitality, and dancing. She will be forever missed as the ever thoughtful and caring mother and friend of all of those who knew her.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, 1734 W Alabama St, Houston, TX, 77098. There will be complimentary valet available.

Through her work as a nurse, Eileen was passionate about the wellbeing of children and mental health. In lieu of flowers and other gifts, the family requests that memorials be made to The Children’s Assessment Center of Houston (2500 Bolsover St, Houston, TX 77005) or Mental Health America of Greater Houston (2211 Norfolk St. #810, Houston, TX 77098) to continue Eileen’s legacy.
