Fr. Alberto was proud to serve on the Historical Commission for the Beatification and Canonization of the Florida Martyrs and was involved in the process until his death.  He loved cooking elaborate and delicious meals for his community, family, and loved ones.  He is preceded in death by his parents and younger sister, Yolanda, who died only a week before him.  He is survived by his younger brother Eduardo of Camagüey, Cuba, his nephews and niece and their families.  He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his Dominican brothers and sisters, his family with whom he was very close, and the many faithful that he served throughout his 52-year ministry as a priest.
