Fred T. Magee Jr, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 27, 2022.

Fred was born on March 5, 1936, in Houston Texas. Our beloved “T” attended St. Thomas High School where he excelled in baseball and later graduated from the University of St. Thomas. Growing up, Fred joined his father in the bowling lane industry where he owned and operated    “Bellaire Palace Bowling Lanes” for many years. His love for bowling continued throughout his life as he went on to become a professional bowler and achieved many perfect 300 games.

Fred was a lifetime director of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and served on the boards of both St. Thomas High School and Strake Jesuit College Preparatory. He was also a member of The Strake Foundation. Fred’s favorite place to be was with his children and grandchildren at the “Tres Locos Ranch” in Carrizo Springs, which he bought with his two close friends in the early ’70s.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents Fred Magee Sr. and Carmen Magee, as well as his sister-in-law Virginia Upton. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Eleanor Kramer Magee, children Cindy Holmes (Harry), Trey Magee (Karen), Michael Magee (Melissa). He is survived by his two sisters Patsy McMahan and Carmita Magee, as well as his in-laws Ken and Katherine Delorenzo and Wade Upton.

T’s greatest pride and joy was being a grandfather to his eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of his grandkids & their friends that knew him from the Post Oak baseball fields and the Spring Branch football fields.

The memorial mass will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at eleven o’clock in the morning at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Rd., Houston, Texas 77056. A reception will immediately follow in the Parish of Life Center.
