Frederick D. Mueller

Frederick Dale Mueller, 93, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 7, 2023.  Dale was born to Irvin A. and Mildred Mueller on September 26, 1929, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
A high school quarterback, a decorated Korean War veteran, a loving husband, proud father, and geologist who worked steadily and with great interest up to the last months of his life, Dale was the epitome of a true Texas gentleman.
Dale was raised in Kenedy, Texas.  He attended Texas A&M University, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, and four uncles. Dale's two younger brothers followed in his footsteps.  Dale majored in Geology, graduating in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science.  He ended his career working for Harrison Interests, Ltd. as a geologist from 1995 until is retirement on February 1, 2023.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Ammons and Mildred Dale Mueller; brother, Henry Miller; sisters-in-law Betsy Miller, Judy Miller, and Jeanette Mueller; and son-in-law, Allen Stern.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Mueller; daughters, Sherri Stern and Melissa Dobrowski; stepchildren Katherine, Richard and Elizabeth Joplin; brother, Allen Mueller; sisters-in-law, Katherine Hudgins and Mary Maxwell; brother-in-law, Elton Maxwell; son-in-law, Paul Dobrowski; stepgrandchilren, Jordan, Jessica and Grace Joplin; Daniel, Emily, David and Ellie Dobrowski, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held on May 20, 2023 from two o’clock until five o’clock in the afternoon at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, 1734 West Alabama Street, in Houston.  A private family burial will be held at Forest Park Lawndale.
