Glenn A (Andy) Finch III, 78 of Houston TX, passed away May 9, 2018.  He was born October 15, 1939 in Houston Texas, and is a fourth generation Houstonian.
Andy graduated from Temple High School in 1958 and attended college at Texas Tech in Lubbock TX. Andy joined IBM as a hardware customer service engineer in 1965 and remained with IBM until 1995, retiring as a Senior Systems Engineer.  Throughout his career he received numerous awards and other honorariums.
Andy enjoyed sailing on Galveston Bay for over 45 years.  He was a part of the Houston Sail and Power Squadron safe boating education group for several years.  He was also was a ham radio operator for many years, first receiving his license as a teen.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents Glenn A Finch II and Mary Bess Finch of Houston.
Andy leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Diane S Finch, daughter Dr. Jennifer Finch, son-in-law Hank Fuselier, grandsons Henry III(Trey), William(Little Andy) Charlie, Uncle Billy Finch, Tiffiny, Kelsey and Tanner Grant, as well as, numerous cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2018 from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, at Bradshaw Carter, 1734 West Alabama, Houston, Texas 77098. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at half past ten o’clock in the morning, at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 9600 South Gessner, in Houston, with a reception to follow in Parish Hall.
