Tribute

Jennifer Stern, 47, died in her home in Houston on August 28, 2021. She was a 1991 high school graduate of Alexander Smith Academy. She went on to further her studies at Simmons University and Colorado University-Denver. Jennifer, who was often called Jenny, was a kind and truly sweet soul. She was characteristically the friendliest person in the room, one who loved embracing new people with open arms and a positive attitude. Her heart of gold allowed her to freely connect with others, she didn’t have a “mean bone” in her body. She was oftentimes considered the one who anyone could confide in. This pushed her towards helping others with mental problems and addiction, which gave her great satisfaction. She was a hard worker who dedicated herself to helping others find strength, both physically and mentally. Jenny was more than naturally inquisitive, and always on the forefront of trend and innovation. There was never an item she couldn’t fix, never a product she couldn’t put together. She knew what clothes were in, what the best technology was, and always found herself discovering new movements. She found a way to always find the potential in what humanity could become. She loved working out, health, fashion, beauty, her family, and most importantly her daughter, whom she never stopped speaking about. She loved building things and creating, she was always immaculate at constructing anything from electronics to cars. She at some point even wanted to create a women’s tool box to encourage other women to be confident in their ability to create. She is survived by her parents, Susana and Juan, her sister, Jessica, her daughter, Gabriella, her nephews, Julian and Jonah. She is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Memorial Services will be held at four o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Houston Congregation for Reform Judaism, 801 Bering Drive in Houston.
