Jerry Stephen Branstetter

April 8, 1960 ~ April 11, 2022 (age 62)

Jerry Stephen (Steve) Branstetter, 61, passed away April 11, 2022 at his home in Houston, Texas.
Steve is preceded in death by his father Jerry Oliver Branstetter and is survived by his mother Wanda Jean Branstetter of Springfield, Mo and sister Kaylene Marcum and her husband Glenn Marcum of Elkland, MO.
Steve was born in Springfield, MO on April 28, 1960. He attended high school in Mansfield, MO, college at Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, MO, and graduate school where he received his master’s degree at Baylor University, Waco Texas.  To use the word excellent to describe Steve as a student would not do him Justice (however, in college he did receive a B in bowling).
Steve enjoyed traveling the world and making memories with his friends that traveled with him.  He had just returned from Puerto Vallarta where he had spent the week in the sun enjoying life with a good friend.
Steve was very political and was happy to share his stance.  Even at a young age, he was into politics being the president of the young Republicans club although he might not want that news shared.
His family, coworkers at Peoples Trust Credit Union, friends in Houston, Los Angeles, and across the country will miss him dearly.  He was loved!
Friends are invited to a memorial service from five until eight o’clock in the evening with the service at six o’clock on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, 1734 West Alabama Street in Houston.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Steve’s memory to Lambda Center Houston, 1201 Clay Street, Houston, Texas 77019.
