I would like to express my deepest sorrow for the lost of your dear loved one. At times many look to Gods word for comfort. Please take your Bible and look at what God promises for the future with regards to our dear loved ones.(John 5:28 & 29, Acts 24:15) Yes, God really will defeat our enemy death forever. This will enable us to one day have the hope of seeing our dead loved ones again. I hope this message will be a source of comfort to you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact one of Jehovah's Witnesses or log on to our website at JW.org.

Sincerely,
JW

Joe Parks was a colleague and friend to so many of us within the BetterInvesting Community. He gave so freely of his time, expertise, sense of humor, and, most importantly, his commitment to his family and friends. I feel very fortunate to have known Joe, if even for a short while. He was a gentleman and will be sorely missed.

Dolores and family,
I am so shocked and sad to see that Joe has passed away so suddenly. He was my customer for 10 years and it was always a pleasure to see him. He always had a smile and we all enjoyed his enthusiasm and many times because we were so close to your home he would come by after his exercise. So we would give him grief and he kept us smiling. He was a very, very nice man he and that smile will be missed by all! My prayers are with you and your family your special light has gone out! God Bless you all!

I am grateful to have counted Joe Parks as a friend. My time on the BetterInvesting Volunteer Board provided me with an opportunity to see first hand Joe's outstanding character, intelligence and spirit. He was a mentor and person of integrity. My deepest sympathy to Dolores and all members of his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I was so shocked to receive the news of Joe's passing as I had just seen him a week earlier at the BetterInvesting Volunteer Advisory Board meeting. I hadn't known Joe more than about 5 years, but during that time he became the symbol of Volunteerism that inspired so many in this community. He was certainly an inspiration to me in my volunteering efforts for BetterInvesting.

Condolences to Dolores and the rest of the Parks family. Joe has left a hole in our souls that only God can heal; he will be sorely missed.

John 14:1-3 - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

As you will see, Joe Parks was loved, cherished, admired and respected by many. Although he is gone, this will continue. I had the privilege of getting to know Joe while doing the things we loved, investing, presentations on investing, and any other BetterInvesting projects. We had such fun on our rides to the Sugar Land model club, how we laughed about getting off at the wrong HOV exit and each other’s driving. Also it allowed us time to discuss how to fix the world problems! If the world would only listen. I will miss hearing Joe’s voice say “What’s up Lady”, but will always remember what he taught me not only about investing but life and family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dolores and the entire family.

There are people we meet as we go through life who make an impression that never leaves you. Many times their personalities are bigger than life itself and other times they exude wisdom and intellect. I had a chance to meet such a person and I don't know if I will ever meet another person with the personality, the energy and the zest for life of Joe Parks. I knew Joe for a short time of 6-7 years and during that time I saw the leadership, mentoring, and guidance he gave to me as a new member of BetterInvesting. The amount of energy and the passion he had for the BetterInvesting organization was displayed in his leadership of many committees, chairman of several national conventions and a teacher extraordinaire of financial literacy to the masses. The impact Joe had on the organization and the membership cannot be measured but for this member I am so sorry for the passing of Joe Parks, but I am happy that I had the chance to spend a few short years knowing this model of a man. Joe’s inviting smile and easy going manner will be sorely missed but the positive impact he had will live on in the hearts and minds of all who came in contact with him. Our prayers and condolences are expressed to Dolores and the Joe Parks’ family at this very difficult time.
