Juan Jose Ulloa, 56, of Houston, passed away on November 18, 2020 surrounded by loved ones at a Houston hospital. Born on January 25, 1964 to parents Francisco Javier Ulloa and Josefina Villanueva. John enjoyed a happy & grateful childhood with his Mother, Maternal grandparents, cousins, aunts & uncles and spending time reading, watching television, interest in welding and everything from cleaning to fixing cars. He enjoyed watching and playing sports, including football, basketball, track and field and weight lifting. He graduated from the FIRST GRADUATING CLASS OF 1983 for B.F. Terry High School. He then worked countless nights and commuted to Wharton Junior College where he studied Electrical Engineering and drafting. His primary focus remained on work & taking care of his Mother and family household.
"Big John" was well known as an independent, full of Faith, happy-go-lucky, hard working and a very dependable, mellow workaholic who spent many hours training and working for Sterling McCall Toyota as well as Mike Calvert Toyota, where he installed electrical accessories on various new vehicles; including stereos, televisions, alarms, step sides/running boards, mirrors, cruise controls, etc. and caring for some of the very first electrical cars requiring care with specialty care gloves. He enjoyed making others laugh and was always available to help others with various auto customers concerns, troubleshooting issues and finding solutions while maintaining upmost and excellent customer service and guaranteed satisfaction.
He met the love of his life, wife, caregiver Maria Cavazos in 2001. Outside of work, John and his wife enjoyed raising their daughter and spending quality time together doing yardwork and decorating for the holidays, as well as enjoying family life and love and caring for cars and animals, listening to music and enjoying life to the fullest with a smile, making the most of every situation. Big John placed his "pride and joy", he called daughter; Daniella Marquez, under his wings and supported, participated and attended her grade school, junior high and high school activities. He loved his family more than anything in the world and was always a man of his word. Big John had a great heart with so much love and respect for all those he knew and was always a very supportive, nurturing, loving, and over the top caring and understanding Father and Husband.
John is predeceased by his beloved Mother, Josefina Villanueva as well as grandparents and other relatives.
He is survived by his beloved and cherished wife Maria Cavazos, beloved Daughter Daniella Marquez, son-in-law Cesar Marquez and his one and only grandson "CJ" Cesar Jesus Marquez, Jr. along with Mother-in-law Maria & Father-in-law Jesus Cavazos , a whole host of aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends who were close enough to consider part of the family.
