Kyle Gordon Lemus

Kyle Gordon Lemus, 35, of Houston, Texas passed away on December 12, 2019.  Kyle was born on November 23, 1984, in Fort Myers, Florida.  He lived much of his life in Tampa where he met his husband.  He graduated from T. R. Robinson High School and the JROTC in Tampa, Florida in 2003.  He attended and graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2007 and also attended Houston Community College.  In moving to Houston, he started a career as a legal assistant and law office manager.

Kyle was a man of incredible humor, great generosity, tenderness, pride, and love.  His generous and compassionate nature led him to assist others when they were at their lowest.  He loved to dine-out, celebrate life, and to dance with his husband and his friends.  He was an avid supporter of the Classical Theatre Company of Houston and many performers around Houston.

Kyle is survived by his beloved husband Christopher Victor Lemus of Houston, Texas.  He is also survived by his mother, Gloria Berry of Nicholasville, Kentucky and his sister, Jessica Busby of Newnan, Georgia.  He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Laura Lemus, their children, his cherished nieces, Morgana, Alexandra, and Elesha Lemus of Houston, Texas, his step-father, Michael Cohen of Tampa, his grandmother Norine Furman Cohen of Siesta Key, and his aunt, Sue Insley of Howell, Michigan.  He leaves behind so many dear friends and cherished family whose hearts and lives he touched with his humor, his love, and his kind spirit.

The burial of his remains at Glenwood Cemetery and a Celebration of Life and Remembrance will be held on a date and at a place to be announced. In lieu of usual remembrances, please consider a donation in Kyle's name to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
