Leon Gordon, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at his home in Houston, Texas. He was 88 years old. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he lived in Houston his entire life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon Gordon, Sr. and Estelle Levy Gordon.

A graduate of San Jacinto High School, Class of 1947, he had many friends and acquaintances over the years. Leon served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He took over his father’s longtime jewelry business downtown. He married and had two sons, Paul and Kent Gordon who survive him. He also leaves two grandchildren, Douglas and Lindsey Gordon. Over the years, Lee started and managed several businesses, including apartments and dry cleaning establishments. He greatly enjoyed sailing with his family and friends in the Houston Power Squadron and Houston Yacht Club.

Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Lee during a reception to be held from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, 1734 West Alabama Street in Houston.
