Mitri Bishara Zabaneh

It is with great sadness that the family of Mitri Bishara Zabaneh announces his passing, on Monday, February 3, 2020, at the age of 57 years at his home in Houston, Texas. Mitri will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Madeleine Murr and his daughters, Danielle and Elissar. Mitri is survived by his father Bishara Mitri Zabaneh; his brother Nadim & Basima Dahdah (wife); his sister Razan and his niece Eleni.

Mitri was born March 14, 1962, in Amman, Jordan. He was raised in the U.A.E. where he attended International School of Choueifat and completed his International  Baccalaureate in 1980. He pursued his education at California State University, Chico, graduating in 1983 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Mitri continued his education at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, completing his Masters Degree in Construction Management in 1985.

He began his career at N.P.C.C. in Abu Dhabi in June 1985 as Proposals Engineer, Project Manager for about 11 years. He then joined CCC - Athens, Greece in February 1997 where he continued his career as Proposals Engineer for 8 years. Finally, Mitri came to Houston, Texas and joined Fluor Corporation in April 2005 up until November 29, 2019 as Business Manager.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday February 12, 2020, at 12:30pm at Saint Basil The Great Greek Orthodox Church, 1100 Eldridge Parkway, Houston, Texas 77077.
