Patricia Ann Gibson

Patricia, born in Buffalo, New York passed away peacefully on September 1, 2020 after a long illness.  Patricia is predeceased by her eldest son Scott R. Gibson; survived by her son Brian J. Gibson and partner Luis Gonzales; her Grandson Tyler and Angelica Gibson; Great Grand Daughter Azalea Gibson.  Patricia was blessed with Leo and Hazel Stover as her parents, who supported her as a single parent when it was not common and perceived negatively at the time. Patricia will also be lovingly remembered by several cousins, nieces and nephews.  Patricia was very independent, successfully maintaining a demanding family life and a demanding professional life.  Patricia was one of the silent strong women, providing for a family, being both mother and father, not boasting about it or getting the credit.  Patricia loved to watch sports, loved to have a good time with family and friends with spirited conversations, good food and drinks.  Patricia loved Buffalo, Buffalo Wings, pizza and beef on wick while watching the Buffalo Bills, screaming at the opposing team. .  

Patricia retired from New York Telephone Company after more than 30 years service and was repeatedly elected as a local official for Communication Workers of America Union.  

Patricia will be going home to Buffalo for her final resting place beside her parents in Acacia Park Cemetery when conditions allow.  The family will have a celebration of her life at that time.
