Rita Renee LaRue

Rita Renee LaRue of Houston, Texas, born on February 22, 1957, to parents JoAnne Moore LaRue and James Morris LaRue. She was called home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2020. 

Ritas is survived by her brother James A. LaRue and his wife Karen, niece Jennifer LaRue, nephews Jake LaRue & James Christopher LaRue, aunts, many cousins, her church & music families as well as numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Ruby Viola LaRue & James Virgil LaRue, as well as her beloved aunt Virlene Shaw Young.

Rita will be remembered for her strong faith and love of praising the Lord through music. She was a beloved friend to all who met her, best known for her infectious smile, kind heart and her generous loving spirit.

We will celebrate Rita’s life Thursday, March 5th at West University Baptist Church: 6218 Auden St. Houston, TX 77005. Visitation will begin at 10am. Pastor Roger Patterson will lead the Celebration of Rita’s Life at 11am with a brief fellowship to follow.
