Ross Seline

March 3, 1929 ~ September 10, 2018 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Tribute

Ross “The Boss” Seline, born March 3, 1929 in Houston, Texas, to Hyman and Estelle Seline passed away on September 10, 2018.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dee Lewis Seline; children: Sharon Seline Wright and husband, Steve Rhoden, Pamela Seline Bastian and Richard Seline and wife, Eleanor Balloff Seline; grandsons: Allen Saper and his fiancé Karen Thompson and Jay Seline; brother Morton Seline and wife, Anita; numerous nieces and nephews, and our very special family, the Phillips. After graduating San Jacinto High School and the University of Houston, he spent four years in the United State Army Corp of Engineers during the Korean War.

Ross was a Rotarian for over 50 years in Houston, Texas and Evergreen, Colorado.  Rotary International was an organization very dear to his heart, having represented them during a trip to Manchester and Lancaster, England in the late 1960’s.  When Dee and Ross relocated to Colorado, he continued his leadership with the Rotary Club of Evergreen, becoming an active member of the Evergreen Rodeo Association; taking up Fly Fishing, and taking several trips to Canada.

Ross never met a stranger, no matter where he was, always had a joke to tell and loved to share stories about golf, baseball, Ted Williams and the “Big One” that got away.  He made an everlasting impact on his family and everyone he encountered.

Friends are invited to join the family on Friday, September 14, 2018 at half past one o’clock in the afternoon with a memorial service starting at two o’clock and a reception to follow at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, 1734 West Alabama Street in Houston.  In the spirit of Ross, men may not wear ties.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary International Foundation (www.rotary.org) or to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (www.nfwf.org).
