Hi Sarah, Words cannot express my sorrow and sympathy towards you and Thomas over his leaving us way too soon! What a precious and magnetic spirit he had. The world will sorely miss him, but Heaven is now an even more wonderful place with him there. God Bless you!

I would like to express my deepest sorrow for the lost of your dear loved one. At such times many look to Gods word for comfort. Please take your Bible and look at what God promises for the future wth regards to our dead loved ones. (John 5:28 & 29, Acts 24:15) Yes, God will defeat our enemy death forever. This will enable us to one day have the hope of seeing our dead loved ones again. I hope this message will be a source of comfort you. If you have any questions feel free to contact one of Jehovah's Witnesses or log on to our website at JW.org.
Sincerely,
JW

My heart aches for the Oldrin family to lose recently in death your precious loved one Thomas after just 20 way too short years, way too young, way too soon. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you beautiful scripture where Jesus makes us a wonderful promise at John 5:28, which says: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." Our heavenly father promises us to do away with man's worst enemy, death at Rev. 21: 4 which reads: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises here on earth, including the resurrection. (John 6:40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18 I offer my sincere condolences to the family. May these promises give you hope, comfort and peace in your time of grief.
I pray it will bring you comfort to please watch this beautiful video (song 144) entitled "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODChildren/pub-pksn_24_VIDEO

My love and prayers go to the family of Thomas. My favorite memories will still be from many Amahl rehearsals seeing him walk for the first time in that beautiful scene. Also his deft knee slide across the stage at the end of a musical number. We love you, Thomas.
