Timothy (Tim) Littleton Bailey

February 20, 1957 ~ August 5, 2017 (age 60) 60 Years Old

Timothy (Tim) Littleton Bailey, 60, passed away from cancer on August 5, 2017.  Tim was born Feb 20, 1957 to the late Herbert and Genevieve (Barras) Bailey. A native Houstonian, he attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory,  transferred and graduated from Bellaire High School where he met the love of his life, Carol Bunnell.  Tim attended North Texas State University where he studied business and played football.
Tim was a co-owner of Lighting Inc., a Houston based family business where he began his career, in the warehouse, at the age of 14.  Tim was the consummate sales professional with a quick wit and a fun sense of humor, which contributed to Lighting Inc.’s continued success in the Texas marketplace.  Tim began his sales career in elementary school selling bags of rocks to his classmates, one for a dime, two for a quarter, “because that’s the way I do business”.
Tim lived life to the fullest, one of his greatest passions was his family.  He loved spending time with his children, whether it was coaching their sports teams, regaling them with bedtime stories of adventures with his cousins at Paw-Paw Barras’s farm in Bon Weir, Texas, or teaching them to fish in Galveston Bay.
Tim’s optimism knew no bounds.  The world could be crumbling around him, but the glass would always be half full or completely full.  He never met a stranger.  When he walked into the showroom, people would light up.
In hospice, Tim shook everyone’s hand that came to see him, and there were many. As devastating as the diagnosis of cancer was, it reunited Tim with family.   Through his illness, his children and wife embraced him with their love and care.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Jenny Bailey.  He is survived by wife, Carol Bailey, children, Aubrey Bailey Crosby and her husband Derek, Addison Bailey, Hannah Texie Bailey and Dylan Bailey, his sister Donna Bailey and daughter Caroline Wilson, brother Brad Bailey and wife Kathleen and son Jason Bailey and wife Laura.  Uncle Donal Bailey and wife JoAnn. Father-in-law Donald G. Bunnell, sister-in-law Jeanne Leach and husband William, sister-in-law Barbara Samples and husband Steve, brother- in-law Paul Bunnell and wife Jeannine along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Marise Condon, Pat Aucoin, Lance Foreman, Trey Click and Michael Serva for their sustaining friendship with Tim during his life.  The family would also like to express their heartfelt thanks to Tim’s excellent caregivers, Maria & Lucy.
The family will receive friends on Friday August 11 from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial and Funeral Services, 1734 West Alabama Street, Houston.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 12, at two o’clock in the afternoon at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas with Father Donald Blanchard presiding.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Tim with gifts to St. Agnes Academy   or to Strake Jesuit College Preparatory Gifts or Artists Boat
