Welcome to the memorial page for

Beverly K. Weitinger

April 15, 1942 ~ September 7, 2017 (age 75)

Beverly Sue Kelly Weitinger passed away peacefully on September 7, 2017. Her husband and soul mate, Don Allen Weitinger, preceded her in death.  She is survived by her loving (step) daughters Dona Weitinger Garrett, Carrie Weitinger and husband, Tom Tripp, and Leslie Kay Weitinger and partner, Christina Dumlao. Her (step) son, Craig Allen Weitinger, preceded her death. She cherished her five grandchildren Tiara Weitinger-Wade, Layne Weitinger Garrett, Reece Rebecca Garrett, Reid McCain Johnston, Callie Evan Johnston and her great-grandchildren, Ayden Allen Liles and Ava Grace Wade. She loved her siblings Barbara Ruth Kelly who preceded her in death, and brother, Ronald K. Kelly, Sr., and wife, Patsy, and niece and nephews.

Beverly was born on April 15, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to Arthur Robert Kelly and Margaret Elender Gilliam Kelly. She moved to Houston in 1960 after graduating from Thomas Jefferson High.

Beverly was a member of the Houston Junior Women’s Club for 37 years.  For over 35 years, she took great pride in volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House.  She was an avid bridge player, world traveler and outdoorswoman.

We will be diminished by the loss of her quick wit, long and passionate conversations and raucous laughter; her essence will be greatly missed.  We love you Bev!

Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Beverly during a reception to be held from three o’clock in the afternoon until six o’clock, with a small service beginning at four o’clock on Saturday September 23, 2017 at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, 1734 West Alabama Street in Houston.
