I was shocked to hear about Chip's passing. I was in Spain at the time and did not return to the US until the day of the services. He was the main reason I went to work at Werlein and Harris, and one of the reasons I stayed there for 25 years. I loved his laugh and sense of humor and his ease with everyone. I learned so much from him and am grateful for the time I had with him. My heartfelt condolences to Tetine, Claire and Kate. I know you will miss him terribly and will grieve the loss for years to come. My prayers are with you.

At 92, I''m not likely to find drivers so as to attend either of Chip's services, but I'll be there with you in spirit. Sorry to learn of my dear cousin's death--and so suddenly. I send love and sympathy to Tetine and cousins.

Chip is one of those people who, if you're lucky enough to meet them, you'll never think you got to spend enough time with them. Simply one of the very brightest, sweetest, most upbeat and heartful people in this world! May he rest in peace. I send love and condolences to Tetine and family. Bless your hearts, and God bless Chip!

What a beautiful tribute for a truly amazing person. I am heartbroken over the death of Chip. My sincere condolences to his wife and his daughters. Chip is a great soul who left an impression on all fortunate enough to have known him. I feel blessed to have considered him my dear friend. Memories of time spent with Chip laughing, telling stories, listening to music were always cherished but now even more. No one will replace Chip. He will be missed by so many family, friends, colleagues, all touched by his kindness and generosity. Even though each of us wish we could see him one more time, share one more story, have one more laugh, I know he was greeted in heaven by family and friends that preceded him and I am certain he will wait for us to join him when our own time comes to cross over. Until we meet again my dear friend, you will be missed. May your memory be a blessing and bring comfort to us all.
